Director - William "BJ" Lancaster
Mr. Lancaster is in his third year as the Director of the Community School. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Liberal Studies from Excelsior College, and a Masters Degree in Teaching from Lindenwood University. He spent four years in the US Air Force as an Intelligence Specialist focused on Anti-Terrorism and Force Protection, spending his entire tour at the 48th Fighter Wing at RAF Lakenheath in the United Kingdom. Not only does Mr. Lancaster work at the Community School, but he is also the Head Coach for the Boys Varsity Soccer Team and he is one of the Official Scorekeepers for Varsity Basketball games here at Valley Park. When he is not working, Mr. Lancaster spends most of his time with his wife Heather, and his two children, Justus and Reilly. He also enjoys playing recreational soccer and softball, playing video games on his PS4, listening to music, wearing Nike clothing, and following his favorite sports teams, especially Manchester United. Assistant - Rich Brutine
Mr. Brutine is starting his 12th year here at the Community School. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Political Science from Saint Louis University, and a Masters Degree in Teaching from Webster University. Mr. B taught Social Studies for 33 years at three different private schools, and coached multiple sports for over 30 years. In his spare time he enjoys to hike, and he likes watching sports on television. He really loves teaching at the Community School because he gets to learn, and teach, new things from many different subjects, and he is always up for the challenge that each new day brings.
